California Casita

Handcrafted materials and expressive tile work were used as focal moments, while the surrounding palette remained warm, neutral, and restrained. Wood tones, layered textures, and clean lines created a consistent foundation, allowing cultural elements to stand out with intention rather than compete for attention. The result was a home that reflects the family’s heritage while staying visually balanced—where cultural details are integrated naturally into the architecture, creating a comfortable, lived-in environment with a clear and cohesive design language.

Family Life & Work Balance

The home was fully reconfigured to expand the primary suite and create an open-concept kitchen and living space. Structural constraints were navigated to avoid unnecessary beam additions, allowing for a clean, uninterrupted layout. Material selections balanced durability, cost-efficiency, and visual impact — prioritizing high-impact elements like countertops and cabinetry finishes. The result is a modernized, highly functional home that supports daily family life with ease. The open kitchen anchors the home, while thoughtful material selections create a cohesive and elevated aesthetic throughout.

Vermont Square

A historically sensitive restoration strategy was implemented, beginning with research into the home’s architectural origins and neighborhood context. The layout was reconfigured to bring the kitchen to the center of the home, transforming it into a functional hub. Original architectural details: swainscoting, dental molding, and coffered ceilings, were carefully preserved and highlighted through a restrained, tonal palette. The home was transformed into a four-bedroom, three-bath residence that feels both timeless and highly functional. The updated layout supports daily living and gathering, while the preserved architectural elements maintain the soul of the original structure.

Every selection was made with both impact and practicality in mind—resulting in a space that feels elevated, intentional, and effortless to live with.
